DIET stands for District Institute of Education and Training. It is an educational institution in India responsible for providing training to teachers and improving the quality of primary and elementary education. DIETs play a crucial role in implementing educational policies at the grassroots level. They conduct teacher training programs, workshops, and refresher courses to enhance teaching methods. DIETs also focus on developing teaching materials and innovative practices for local schools. These institutes assist in research and evaluation of educational programs and act as a bridge between the government and schools. Their aim is to improve overall education standards at the district level.

DIET Udham Singh Nagar was came into existence in the year 2006, situated at Rudrapur city Uttarakhand. DIET U S Nagar is dedicated to creating highly capable and skilled teachers for elementary education though two year D.El.Ed. course, trains teachers of the district in many areas to improve quality of education, and playing crucial role in implementing all the government initiative in the grassroot level.
